Week 2: Wrap-up

CarJacker (165) vs. Wildcats (90)
Team CarJacker comes roaring back after having the low score for Wk1 with the high score for Wk2. While this one was not even close, to add insult to injury CarJacker used ‘Old Man McGahee,’ which the Wildcats had just dropped, to pile on an additional 21 points, and Hello Kitty’s Derrick Ward sat on the pine while Cadillac added 16 points for CarJacker. Matt Schaub piled on TDs against the Titans to kill Tennessee DEF’s value. Basically a perfect storm in CarJacker’s favor.

TooDamnLousy (119) vs. My Vick in a Box (94)
Evidently size does matter, as ‘My Vick in a Box’ fails again to show up in the win column. Only Rivers and Brown showed up for Vick while Too Damn Lousy had a strong showing across the board with the exception of Lance ‘No’ Moore. Tough to beat a team with that kind of solid output from all players.

House of Pain (54) vs. Jacko’s Petting Zoo (141)
Ouch! House of Pain took a whooping in this one. Only the Chicago DEF came to play and was the only player to post double digit points. Jacko on the other hand had four players post 20+ points including 27 from TE Dallas Clark with only Hester disappointing. A solid win.

Tackle Me Elmo (164) vs. Horn Supremacy (103)
This was a tough loss as Horn Supremacy posted 100+ points but was still 60 points down. Dr. Drew Brees came back down to earth with only 28 points and the Dallas DEF did not live up to the ‘Bid D’ name for the Jerrytron unveiling. Elmo on the other hand had the benefit of Chris ‘Run all day’ Johnson’s huge day and 50 points. Luckily Elmo did not need WR Jennings and K Elam who both failed to show up. With that lineup, Elmo should enjoy the points as I doubt they will see such point totals again.

Juggernauts (155) vs. Spring Branch Vatos (63)
Beginner’s luck ran out on the on the SBVs when they learned the lesson that starting three players (Charles, Watson, and Murphy) who don’t even start for their teams proved to be a bad strategy and they posted a combined 7 points. Juggernauts lucked out and the Buffalo Bills’ offense put up some points this week and Gore and Johnson had huge days. An easy win for Juggs and this one was never close.

Injured Reserves (110) vs. Pure Misery (94)
This was the game of the week as it had the closest score and also came down to Monday night’s game (IND vs. MIAMI). Misery needed a big game from Manning but without WR Reggie Wayne seeing any love – an unlikely event. However that is exactly how it ended up with Wayne only posting 5 points and Manning tossing the pigskin for 24. IR pulled a out a win despite a poor showing from four of its players and posting the lowest winning score for the week.

Just to be clear, we never owned a running back as good as Willis McGahee. If you're going to trash our crappy team, at least get the facts right...
